We are learning about our first world mindset that still has a controlling handle in our lives.  Our house helper one time shared derisively about the amount of clothes we own...

(my wife and I share the equivalent of 1 small closet...and it is really only 1/2 full...)  But still, we have more clothes than most people on this island could think about.  We have visited villages where people might own enough shirts to be hung on a nail driven into the wall of their bedroom.

We have learned to become less frustrated (usually)  with the culture because of ideas like this.  For instance, when we bought our sheets, there is no such thing here as a fitted sheet and a flat sheet on top. These sets are just not sold.

Similarly, when our laundry is done.. there is no distinction between PJs and normal clothes, dress clothes and every day clothes... they are simply put back in drawers ands shelves.  and if course someone that is not used to having the amount of clothing we have would have this issue... they would be unable to categorize, or understand the need to categorize the clothes.

A case in point i this photo of our 'towel stand' outside our bedroom.  It makes sense towels are stored here.  we have places in our bedrooms for blankets.  But this particilar day, there are washrags, sheets, pillow cases, full towels, hand towels, and blankets, all folded and stored in the same place... because there is no category for all these things here... they fit into the larger categor... "cloth items"  and they are all saved and stored together.
