There is nothing like having your walking shoes on - and
On our first attempt to get visas, we submitted paperwork, waited five weeks, and finally withdrew our applications. We finally got word our school was unacceptable.
On our second attempt to get visas with a new school, we have (so far) submitted, had additional documentation requested, and then resubmitted (3rd submission) our documents. We pray this week will prove fruitful as we reach the end of the third submittal processing time.
As we attended our home church today we heard an encouraging message from our student pastor from Philippians 4. He shared an interesting perspective on Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who brings me strength".
I have read this verse (in-context) many times before. However, I don't remember ever noticing that in context, this verse is specifically talking about strength to endure - to persevere - to withstand. This was such an encouraging word to my soul this morning as we rely on God to give us strength to be content during this in-between time.
We have yet to reach anything near the longest wait someone has endured before getting their visas for the field. And there are much worse issues we could be dealing with. We can endure this period of waiting and will use it to the best of our ability to proclaim God's heart for the nations in the meantime.
